Who is Mental Health Foundation Australia?

Mental Health Foundation Australia is the oldest Mental Health Association in Australia. MHFA works to deepen understanding of the importance of mental wellbeing. Educating the community about available treatment options for mental illness is a large part of our brief, but our primary emphasis is on promoting good mental health and the means to maintain it. The Foundation’s work has been fundamental to changing community attitudes and raising awareness of the importance of good mental health.  To know more about our organization, please visit www.mhfa.org.au   

Do you have any other events for Mental Health?

We have events along the whole month of October. Please check our events page on our website www.mhfa.org.au for more information.

Are there age restrictions to enter the event?

Absolutely not! People of all ages, fitness levels , with mobility aids, children, furry friends all are welcome. If you think you cannot do the 5 km/10km walk but want to show support, please come by to witness.

Are there any prizes, medals / certificates?

The aim of the walk is to foster mental health awareness among the general public and break the stigma surrounding it. Hence, no medals/certificates or prizes are allocated as in a race/marathon.

Do we need to finish by a certain time?

No, there is not an earliest time to finish the race, but the walk has to finish no later than 12:30 pm.

Where can I collect my event pack?

On the day, on arrival.

Can we enter as a team? /Can I register under my business name?

Certainly, please contact projectofficer@mhfa.org.au with the name you would like to register under.

What should I bring and what should I wear?

Please bring your ticket and wear comfortable sports / casual clothing and shoes. Water and fresh fruits will all be provided.

How do we sponsor?

You can send an expression of interest to  admin@mhfa.org.au

What will I get from the donation?

If donation amount is $10 - MHFA Pin, $20 MHFA Pin and a Cap and $50 - Pin, Cap and T-Shirt.

I have registered but not received confirmation?

First, check your spam, junk folder, if you have not received it please contact admin@mhfa.org.au with your registration details

Do we get t-shirts on the day?

T-shirts will be free for Premium ticket holders. You can also buy it for $10 on the day.

Where do donations go towards?

Your donations will assist in supporting and strengthening youth mental health. MHFA is a process of establishing a youth drop in centre in the city of Yarra to assist university students and youths. Also, assist our 15 support groups established over the years.
